Oggi parliamo di un problema molto ricorrente che si verifica quando vogliamo installare Joomla! su un server, in particolare quando vogliamo installare Joomla su Aruba e tentiamo di ottimizzare le configurazioni SEO. Errore: Si  verificato un problema che ha richiesto la chiusura di Spooler SubSystem App Soluzione: 1) arrestare il servizio "Spooler di Stampa": start-> pannello di controllo-> strumenti di amministrazione-> servizi cercare il servizio "Spooler di Stampa" , cliccarci sopra con il tasto destro e cliccare su arresta 2) Cancellare tutti i file nella cartella: C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS 3) tornare sul servizio "Spooler di Stampa" e cliccando con il tasto destro scegliere avvia 4) Aprire la cartella stampanti e fax per controllare che non appaia più l'errore 5) Eseguire una prova di stampa da ognuna delle stampanti installate e cancellare quella che genera di nuovo l'errore. A questo punto si deve ripetere la procedura dal punto 1. Alternativa: da Stampanti e Fax - clic con il destro sulla stampante - Avanzate e togliere il flag da "Stampa prima i documenti nello spooler"

A volte capita che quando si inserisce una smart card all'interno del PC, quest'ultimo mostra una notifica dove vi è scritto:"Attenzione: il servizio smart card non è attivo.". Controllando dentro i servizi di Windows, mi accorgo che invece il servizio è attivo!!!! (Per controllare i servizi di Windows cliccare su START->esegui e scrivere services.msc e premere invio.) A questo punto bisogna riparare i componenti di Windows nel seguente modo: Start > tutti i programmi > accessori, clicca destro su "prompt dei comandi" e scegli "esegui come amministratore". Applicazione non installata correttamente. Ripetere l’installazione." Soluzione: Andate sul tasto Invia/Ricevi e cliccate sulla freccetta in basso per aprire il menù Andate su Impostazioni di invio / ricezione, quindi deselezione “cartella disponibile per modalità non in linea” Ripetete l’operazione del punto 2, riabilitando quindi la disponibilità non in linea :)

Note: This is tested and proven to work on Debian Squeeze (stable) If you are a web-admin or a PHP developer hosting on your own servers you might have found out that PHP mail() function does not work out of the box in Debian unless you have installed Exim (default MTA for Debian Squeeze), sendmail or some other MTA. Most of the time this is OK, but when you really don't want to mix a mailserver with your webserver this is going to be a problem. In php.ini file there is a SMTP configuration value that you can set which is misleading. Even though you set the SMTP value, PHP mail() function will not connect directly to the SMTP server and relay emails rather it depends heavily on sendmail program which can be set via the sendmail_path configuration value.
